Drupchen literally means vast accomplishment. It is a form of intensive group practice that embodies the depth, power, and precision of the Vajrayana, drawing together the entire range of its skilful methods: mystical, ritual, and artistic.

Its purpose is to accomplish one or several buddhas, who embody the ultimate state of enlightenment. As one follows the sadhana (means of accomplishment) day and night without interruption and actualizes its meaning through visualizations, mantra recitation and meditation, one's habitual perceptions are transformed and purified into their true and sacred nature, where everything is seen and experienced purely: ourselves as a buddha and our surroundings as a pure realm.
